The Arri M18 can be used with the consumption of 1800 watts or 1.8 KW on a normal household power connection, so you can use the M18 at almost any location.
The Arri M18 is also equipped with the unique reflector that the Arri MAX series is known for. Due to this special reflector, the output of the M18 HMI is comparable to around 2500 watts or 2.5 KW.
Another feature of the M18 is that the lamp head and the ballast communicate with each other and adapt to the bulb you put in, this can be a 1.2 KW or a 1.8 KW. In addition, the lamp head and the ballast can also adapt if there is a problem within the power network so that you can continue to use the lamp.
The Arri M18 comes in a package together with a flicker free ballast which makes the Arri M18 suitable for high speed recordings.
The M18 HMI from Arri can be rented at Westerpark Studio for 95 euros per day.
